Four and a half day (Live Model) Portrait Sculpture Workshop. Class runs from 10AM-1PM, breaks for lunch, and then resumes from 2:30PM-5:30PM Monday-Thursday. Class on Friday will run from 10AM-12PM
Cost per student is $460. This fee will include classes, armatures, clay, use of tripods, model time, and studio space. Only 12 spaces available. Registration deadline is April 15, 2019
Students will need to bring:
Large wooden cooking spatula
Plastic to cover their sculpture
Spray bottle to wet their sculpture
Other tool recommendations (not required, but helpful) will be provided to students who sign up.
The goal is to create a finished clay portrait and to learn observation and anatomy in the traditional figurative methods of the great masters. If students wish to preserve their creation, they can request learning materials for making a plaster waste-mold, or they can send their creation to one of the nearby foundries to have it cast in another material.
Once there are 6 students signed up, confirmation details will be sent.
